Welcome to the Cleveland Institute of Art (CIA) Net Price Calculator! We're happy you are beginning to explore how to plan and pay for your college education. We will help you every step of the way. Using the CIA net price calculator, you can find out your eligibility for financial aid from CIA and estimate your out-of-pocket expenses. We hope the results from the CIA net price calculator will show you how affordable attending CIA can be.
Even if you're not going to college in the near future, the CIA net price calculator will still be helpful. Younger students and their parents can use this tool to learn about college costs and receive early financial aid information. You can create "what if" scenarios based on expected family income and anticipated expenses, and start to plan and save well before applying to college.
Colleges have different resources and financial aid policies, so your "net price" will vary from institution to institution. Also, special circumstances are considered by the CIA Office of Financial Aid on a case-by-case basis. If your situation is unusual, you may want to contact the CIA Office of Financial Aid once you are admitted.
When you're ready to begin, you can sign in with your College Board user name and password or use the calculator as a guest. The advantage of signing in is that the information you enter will be saved in your account, so you can use it again and again to calculate your net price at other colleges of interest. Good luck!
The CIA net price calculator is designed to give you an early indication of how much and what types of financial aid you might qualify for if you were a freshman attending the Cleveland Institute of Art full-time in the academic year indicated.
However, this calculator is limited since it is unable to include an assessment of your portfolio. Your portfolio is one of the most important factors in your admission and your eligiblity for merit based scholarship assistance and other need based assistance to attend the Cleveland Institute of Art. Your portfolio must include four observational drawings and a total of a minimum of 12 pieces of artwork (no more than 20).
As you use the calculator, please remember:
1. This is not an application for admission or financial aid.
2. The results will only be as reliable as the data you provide.
3. The net price calculator will only give you an estimate of your net price and eligibility for CIA, federal and state sources of financial aid. The CIA Office of Financial Aid will make the final determination of your financial aid award package once all of the required items for admission have been received.
4. You must complete the FAFSA after October 1 prior the year you plan to attend CIA. CIA's priority deadline to submit the FAFSA varies. It is December 15 for Early Action 1. It is February 1 for Early Action 2. It is March 15 for Regular Decision. It is November 15 for Spring Transfer and June 1 for Spring Transfer students.
