Welcome to the Net Price Calculator

Welcome to the Grinnell College Net Price Calculator!

The calculator is designed to give you an early indication of how much and what types of financial aid you might qualify for if you were a college freshman attending Grinnell College full-time in the academic year indicated. Your "net price" is the difference between the cost of attendance and the total grant aid. A student loan and work-study can further reduce your net price.

  • The calculator is intended for students and families who reside in the United States. It does not apply to international students.

As you use the calculator, please remember:

  • The results will only be as reliable as the data you provide.
  • Special circumstances are considered by financial aid offices on a case-by-case basis. If your situation is unusual, you may want to contact the Office of Financial Aid at Grinnell.
  • If your natural parents are divorced or separated, you should complete the calculator separately with each parent’s financial information to estimate the expected contribution for each parent.
  • The net price calculator will only give you an estimate of your net price and aid eligibility based on the information you self-report. The financial aid office will formulate your actual financial aid award based on your financial aid application. You must complete the CSS PROFILE and submit all required documents by the deadlines outlined on the Apply for Aid section of the Grinnell website to receive a financial aid award letter upon admission.
  • Because Grinnell takes a holistic approach when awarding merit scholarships, these awards cannot be determined using the net price calculator. Please keep in mind that all scholarships received will reduce the amount of need-based financial aid received.

Completing the calculator should take no more than 20 minutes of your time. It will be helpful to have recent tax forms or pay stubs on hand before you begin. Your information will remain secure and will have no bearing whatsoever on your future application for admission & financial aid.
