Welcome to the Net Price Calculator

Welcome to UM's Net Price Calculator!

  • How does it work? The calculator measures the financial strength of your family and uses other facts you provide to estimate the amount of grants, scholarships and other financial aid that is likely to be available to you. Your "net price" is the difference between that amount and the cost of attendance.

UM's Net Price Calculator (NPC) is designed to give you an early indication of how much and what types of financial aid you might qualify for if you were a freshman attending school full-time in the academic year indicated. We hope that this valuable tool will give you a clear picture of options and opportunities so you can make more informed decisions about your college choices.

As you use the calculator, please remember:

  1. This is not an application for admission or financial aid.
  2. The results will only be as reliable as the data you provide.
  3. The net price calculator will only give you an estimate of your net price and aid eligibility. The Office of Student Financial Assistance & Employment has the final word on your financial aid eligibility.
  4. You must complete your financial aid application by the state deadline of your admissions applicant pool.  Please review our deadlines by visiting the OSFAE website.

Completing the calculator should take no more than 20 minutes of your time. You will need to answer some basic questions about your parents' financial situation so it might be helpful to have recent tax forms or pay stubs on hand before you begin.
