Welcome to University of South Carolina's Net Price Calculator! We're glad that you're considering USC. Our friendly staff can help with each stage of the college search process, including learning about financial aid. Using our net price calculator, you can get an estimate of your eligibility for financial aid from USC and your out-of-pocket expenses. USC offers many generous aid and merit awards, so it's no surprise that we're ranked a "Best College Buy" by Forbes, Kiplinger's Personal Finance, Princeton Review, and USA Today.
Even if you're not a high school senior, the net price calculator will still be helpful in planning. Younger students and their parents can use this tool to learn about college costs and receive early financial aid information. You can create "what if" scenarios based on expected family income and anticipated expenses. Keep in mind that the availability of grants, scholarships and financial aid changes every year, so you should continue to research college costs as well as scholarship and financial aid eligibility all the way through your senior year.
When you're ready to begin, you can sign in with your College Board user name and password or use the calculator as a guest. The advantage of signing in is that the information you enter will be saved in your account, so you can use it again and again to calculate your net price at other colleges of interest. Good luck!
The calculator is designed to give you an early indication of how much and what types of financial aid you might qualify for if you were a college freshman attending USC full-time in the academic year indicated. It is a tool which will help give you a picture of some of the options and opportunities available. If you have specific questions about USC scholarships and aid, please call the Undergraduate Admissions office at 803-777-7700.
As you use the calculator, please remember:
- This is not an application or guarantee of admission, financial aid, or scholarships.
- The results will only be as reliable as the data you provide. Please do your best to provide accurate answers.
- The net price calculator will only give you a general estimate of your net price and aid eligibility. The financial aid office has the final word on your financial aid award. Aid and tuition amounts change annually, as do the scholarship award guidelines. Actual award criteria are established each year based on the size and strength of the applicant pool and the availability of scholarships.
- You must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible after January 1 of the year you plan to attend college. To be considered for all financial aid programs offered at USC, your FAFSA and any additional information requested must be received by April 1st.
Completing the calculator should take no more than 20 minutes of your time. You will need to answer some basic questions about your family's financial situation so it might be helpful to have recent tax forms (such as a 1040 form) or pay stubs on hand before you begin.
