Welcome

Welcome to the Simmons College Net Price Calculator.  We’re happy that you are beginning to explore how to plan and pay for your college education, and we’re here to help you every step of the way.  Attending a prestigious private college like Simmons may not cost as much as you anticipate.  Scholarships, grants and other forms of financial aid may significantly defray the costs associated with attendance.

The net price calculator allows you to first determine an estimated cost of attendance which includes tuition & fees, housing & food, and other costs such as books and transportation.  It then calculates your eligibility for financial aid and considers the possibility of merit scholarships.  These scenarios are based on costs and awarding for the 2013-2014 academic year and do not consider changes in costs, awarding policies, or availability of scholarships requiring additional application materials.

Younger students and their parents can also create “what if” scenarios based on expected family income and anticipated expenses to plan and save before applying to college.

It’s important to note that this calculator providies an estimate, and does not guarantee that your financial aid package from Simmons will be the same. There are many circumstances that can affect a student’s financial aid eligibility, and we look at each application for financial aid on a case-by-case basis. If your family situation is unique it is best to contact Student Financial Services directly at 617-521-2001.

Similarly, eligibility for merit scholarships is equally complex.  Since Simmons College is committed to a holistic review of an applicant’s credentials, including essays and recommendations, this calculator offers an estimate of scholarship eligibility based on information that a typical student can access.

When you’re ready to begin, you can sign in with your College Board user name and password or use the calculator as a guest. The advantage of signing in is that the information you enter will be saved in your account so you can use it again and again!

To assure that you receive concrete information, we encourage you to apply for both admission and financial aid. We look forward to working with you as you go through this process.

How does it work? The calculator measures the financial strength of your family and uses other facts you provide to estimate the amount of grants, scholarships and other financial aid that is likely to be available to you. Your "net price" is the difference between that amount and the cost of attendance.

The Simmons College Net Price Calculator is designed to give you an early estimate of how much and what types of financial aid you might qualify for as a freshman attending school full-time in the academic year indicated. It is a tool which we hope will give you a clear picture of options and opportunities so you can make more informed decisions about your college choices.

As you use the calculator, please remember:

  1. This is not an application for admission or financial aid.
  2. The results will only be as reliable as the data you provide.
  3. The net price calculator will only give you an estimate of your net price and aid eligibility. The Student Financial Services Office at Simmons has the final word on your financial aid award.
  4. You must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible after January 1 of the year you plan to attend college.

Completing the calculator should take no more than 20 minutes of your time. You will need to answer some basic questions about your parents' financial situation so it might be helpful to have recent tax forms on hand before you begin.
