Welcome

Welcome to the Net Price Calculator for The College of Saint Rose, located in the heart of Albany—the vibrant capital of New York. In a few moments you will see an estimate of the cost to attend Saint Rose. What you should also know is the value of the Saint Rose experience and how much we have invested in ensuring that our students have an educational experience that combines outstanding teaching and classroom learning with scholarly research, and internship and field experience placements. In the last ten years, we have spent more than $100 million in new faculty positions and new facilities including new arts and communications centers, and a soon-to-be completed new School of Business and apartment-style residence hall. With 68 undergraduate majors, highly experienced faculty 96 percent of whom have a Ph.D. or the highest degree in their fields, and a student:faculty ratio of 14:1, Saint Rose has the quality indicators of colleges where cost is double the price.

This calculator is designed for students who plan on enrolling as a freshmen for the 2013-14 year. Using the net price calculator, you can find out your eligibility for financial aid in terms of college grants, academic scholarships, federal loans, and New York State TAP, if appropriate. The net price is based upon the information you make available at the point in time which you choose to use the calculator. The financial aid which is presented to you for review in the net price calculator is only an estimate and should be regarded as a starting point for understanding how the financial aid policies at Saint Rose may apply to you.

How does it work? The calculator measures the financial strength of your family and uses other facts you provide to estimate the amount of grants, scholarships and other financial aid that is likely to be available to you. Your "net price" is the difference between that amount and the cost of attendance.

Additionally the calculator is intended to be an estimator tool to give you an idea of what you may be responsible for paying should you attend Saint Rose. As you use the calculator, please keep in mind:

  • This is not an application for admission or financial aid. You must complete the FAFSA as soon as possible after January 1 of the year you plan to attend college.
  • The results will only be as reliable as the data you provide.
  • The Financial Aid office at Saint Rose has the final authority on your Financial Aid award. This calculator should only be used to help guide you into making an informed decision.
  • 98% of Saint Rose Freshman students receive financial aid.

Completing the calculator should take no more than 20 minutes of your time. You will need to answer some basic questions about your parents' financial situation so it might be helpful to have recent tax forms or pay stubs on hand before you begin.

*For students entering in 2014 and beyond (for parents, too):

Even if you are not going to college in the near future, the net price calculator may still be helpful. You may use this tool to learn about college costs and receive early financial aid estimates. You may also create "what if" scenarios, based on expected family income and anticipated expenses, and start to plan and save well before applying to college. Just remember that the calculator is only an estimate of what you may be eligible for at a point in time.

You may use the calculator as a guest or sign in with your College Board user name and password. The advantage to signing in is that the information you enter will be saved in your account, so you can use it again and again to calculate your net price at other colleges of interest.
